Beginner

Intuitive cross and F2L, then a four-look last layer. Faster, more fluid solves; first sub-minute goals.

Cross on the bottom, planned in inspection

Use the inspection time to plan the whole cross, then execute without stopping. Solve it on the bottom so you never need to flip the cube.

Intuitive F2L

Solve each corner-edge pair together instead of separately. Get the corner and edge adjacent in the top layer, then insert as a pair. The basic move is the sexy move trigger you already know (R U R' U').

Practise the 41 pair cases in the F2L trainer. Learn the idea behind the cases before memorising algorithms.

4-look last layer

Four steps: orient the edges (cross), orient the corners (OLL corners), permute the corners, permute the edges. Each uses a short set of algorithms from the OLL and PLL trainers.
