4BLD · Beginner

Learn 3x3 blind first, then add wings and centres. A first 4x4 blind solve.

Move sequences on this page are only checked to be legal moves for this puzzle in cubing.js. Treat them as demonstrations of the notation and the method, not as verified algorithm lists.

Prerequisite

Learn 3x3 blindfolded first: 4x4 blind uses the same corner and edge techniques and adds two more piece types, wings and centres.

What is new

Wings come in pairs per edge. Centres move, so you must track them too. You solve in stages: corners, then wings, then centres, and each stage is a set of 3-cycles with its own buffer.

Parity

Even-sized cubes can have parity in the wings and the centres. Learn a parity algorithm before your first full attempt.
