Prerequisite
Learn 4x4 blindfolded first. The 5x5 adds middle edges and a second kind of centre piece, and it has no parity.
Stages
Solve in stages with a buffer for each piece type: corners, middle edges, wings, and the two kinds of centre piece. Take your time to memorise each stage before you start.
