Centres
Build centres in larger blocks using commutators for the last pieces. Keep every move purposeful, because each extra slice is expensive on a cube this size.
Edges
Pair the five-piece edges in layers: wings next to the middle edge first, then the outer wings. Check the whole edge before moving on.
