OH CFOP: F2L close to the front-right slot, and R, U and F last-layer algorithms. Sub-30 one-handed solves.
Move sequences on this page were checked in a cube simulator (cubing.js): they are legal and, where the text says so, do what it claims. Strategy advice is guidance, not machine-checked.
F2L: work near one slot
Most one-handed F2L inserts are short moves of R, U and F into the front-right slot. Bring the pair you want to that slot by rotating the whole cube between pairs. That costs time, so as you improve you will learn to work in more than one slot without rotating.
The Algs page lists all 41 F2L cases for the front-right slot, and every one uses only R, U and F. Here are four short inserts to start from:
R U R' — insert 1R U' R' — insert 2F' U' F — insert 3F' U F — insert 4Pick last-layer algorithms that avoid regrips
Of the 57 OLL cases in the site's set, 31 can be done with R, U and F only. Of the 21 PLLs, 9 can. The Algs page lists them. Use those whenever you can, and for the other cases choose an algorithm with the fewest awkward turns.
These PLLs use only R and U (or R, U and F), so they are comfortable one-handed:
R U' R U R U R U' R' U' R2 — Ua: R and U onlyR2 U R U R' U' R' U' R' U R' — Ub: R and U onlyR2 U2 R U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R U2 R2 — H: R and U onlyR U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' — T: R, U and F onlyF R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F' — Y: R, U and F onlyR U2 R' U' R U2 L' U R' U' L — A J-perm that uses L onceRegrips
A regrip costs time and risks dropping the cube. Learn which of your algorithms need one, and plan your holds around them. When two algorithms solve the same case, prefer the one with no regrip even if it is a little longer.
How to practise
Solve slowly and smoothly first, and speed up only when your solves stop having pauses. Use the Practice page for one-handed scrambles and watch your Ao5 and Ao12 over several sessions rather than single solves.
