Sarah's Advanced Variation: two steps. Sub-10 solves.

The structure of these guides follows Sarah's Skewb method (sarah.cubing.net/skewb/my-method, read October 2026). The sledgehammer and hedgeslammer claims were checked in a simulator (cubing.js). The other sequences are written as that page gives them and are only checked to be legal Skewb moves.

Solve a side, then the rest

The advanced variation solves one side, then everything else in a single step. Sarah's page lists 134 cases for that second step, grouped by the corner case on the last side together with the state of the top centre.

Some of those cases need as many as five sledgehammers or hedgeslammers, which is slow. For those, the page suggests learning shorter, dedicated algorithms instead. Choose them by recognising which cases come up most in your own solves.

Plan in inspection

With a one-step finish, the first side is where inspection time is best spent. Pick a side that leaves an easy case for step two. This is advice, not something I have measured.
