3-style: a commutator for every pair of targets. Sub-1-minute blind solves.
Move sequences on this page were checked in a cube simulator (cubing.js): they are legal and, where the text says so, do what it claims. Strategy advice is guidance, not machine-checked.
3-style
3-style uses a commutator for every pair of targets. For each pair of memorised letters you do one commutator. A commutator is A B A' B' with A and B chosen so that exactly three pieces move. That is why it is perfect for blind solving: no collateral damage.
You will learn hundreds of commutators for edges and corners. Learn them by category and pair them with the letter-pair image system.
Twists, flips and parity
Handle twists and flips with 3-style-friendly methods rather than the setup-and-algorithm approach. Parity is handled with a short parity-fixing algorithm or by choosing a different target order so that parity cancels.
Recall under pressure
Training for recall matters as much as speed. Practise with distractions, and always review the solve after a fail to find what went wrong: memo or execution.
